?Denim Project is a Danish fashion Label inspired by the past, fits the present, and has a dream of influencing the future?.

This was the overall direction given by Jesper Keiser, founder of the sustainable danish fashion label DENIM PROJECT, when the total look (clothes styling, hair, make-up) under the new hip BAFW (Berlin Alternative Fashion Week), was to be decided.

For the Denim Project show, we went for a simple retro futuristic look, determined by the models character, features and hair type – length, texture and shape.

In september 2016, the official  show sponsor “The Kevin Murphy international hair team” and I went to work on the girls. They were wearing secondhand pieces mixed with Denim Project and selected feminine styles from french tennis brand Ellesse. With inspirations for hair and make-up from the 60?s  era Jean Luc Godard iconclastique films such as ?Le Mépris?, we created individual stylish looks for the female models in the show.

For the male models we went for retro futuristic hairstyling with a Beatles ‘peace and love’ feel, emphasising freshness, shine and healthy hair.

As for the male make-up, we chose a simple nude and natural feel, with a foundation of a moisturising cream for a healthy glow, finished off with a light touch of translucent matte powder.
