Have you ever thought about if your hairdresser has an artistic or technical approach to your haircut and haircolor?
Hair is a living material, which you can transform into many interesting things. The inspiration comes sometimes when you take some time out to play. Early in my career through cross disciplinary artistic projects, I started to investigate what could be made out of hair and other materials. I was looking for the release from the restraining salon work and book publishing about hair where I had too many commercial or pragmatic borders to respect in my expression. The journey into searching for artistic freedom in terms of hair, opened new doors to discover, create moods and transmit my stylistic fingerprint. This way I could get out of the hamsterwheel from the pre-defined tasks. I wanted to delve deep in #innovation which by the way is the new #buzzword of our time.
As an answer why an artistic approach is important for your hairdresser. When advertising/fashion shoots, fashion shows productions are taking place, the team behind it work together for the perfect presentation of the object from all angles and perspectives. Perfection lies in the imperfection, and there is a hairfine balance between if the hair has got the touch of spirit; chosen style, length, total look, finish.
On the fashion photo above I have let a good haircut, chance and the #chaostheory rule the game. This perfectly fits the mood of the shoot where #leadsinger #kimmunk #thebrokenbeats gets a spiritual awakening when he wears the holistic eagle from #jewelrydesigner #amouschka #amouschkaandfriends. If you are lucky with your hairdresser visit, you also have the chance of optimizing your personal style and appearance through a refreshing cut and haircolour from your hair-passionated hairdresser.
When time, place and the restrains from the traditional salon is removed, what about trying an #iceblue #hardgellytop or a #punkroyal #vertikal #hairstyle at #hautecoutureexpo with #amaliamattaor, or maybe a luxurious visit back to ?les aneés folles á Paris? 1930?
So what is your choice next time you go to your hairdresser; Paris Chic, London Hip, NY 5th Avenue or understated Italiensk Glam?
